Working from the item

Every generated SKU is a standard Business Central Item, so a lot of day-to-day work happens on the ordinary Item Card and Item List. Elevate Apparel adds an apparel layer to both, so an Item always carries its apparel context and links straight back to its Style. This page covers the item-side layout, the Apparel information box, and the apparel columns on the Item List.

The Apparel section on the Item Card​

The Apparel section on the Item Card is organised into tidy tabs. The source style and SKU details sit together, and there are separate sections for Attributes, Images, and Kit Components, so each kind of information has its own place rather than one long list.

The Apparel information box​

The Apparel information box (a FactBox) appears on both the Item Card and the Item List. It shows Style, Style Name, Brand, Product, Size Scale, Colour, Colour Name, Hex, Size, SKU status, tagged Collections, and a rolled-up summary of resolved Attribute Values, each clicking straight through to its source record.

Every code is shown alongside its readable name, so a value that is stored as a code, such as a brand or a size number, reads plainly rather than leaving you to look it up: you see the colour with a swatch, the brand with its name, the size scale, the size, and the SKU status in words.

Run Source Style to jump to the Style Card, or Apparel Attributes and Resolved Attributes to jump to the Style Card focused on its attribute panes. If the selected Item was not generated from an Elevate Apparel Style, the information box simply shows "Not an apparel item."

Apparel columns and filters on the Item List​

The apparel fields, style, brand, colour, size, size scale, and SKU status, are available as columns and filters on the standard Item List. Add them from column personalization, or filter on them from the filter pane, to slice the item list in apparel terms.

To view everything in a collection, use the collection's SKUs list rather than an item-list filter, because a style can belong to several collections at once and the item list cannot capture that in a single column. See Viewing a collection's SKUs.
