Starter pack and demo data

Import the Category Starter Pack

If you do not already have Category Templates defined, run Import Category Starter Pack from Apparel PIM Setup. It creates a resale-oriented starter set (Children Clothing, Children Clothing Lined, Soft Toy, Nappy, Children Hosiery, Footwear, Adult Clothing), each with a sensible set of required attributes already wired up. It is idempotent: running it again does not duplicate templates that already exist by the same code, and it reports how many templates it actually created.

Load demo data (optional, separate app)

Sample data ships in a separate, optional companion app, meant for evaluation and training environments only. If that app is installed alongside the main app, a Load Demo Data action appears on both the Apparel PIM Setup page and the Apparel role centre. It does not appear at all if the demo app is not installed.

  1. Run Load Demo Data.
  2. Choose one of the sample datasets on offer. Each seeds a set of brands, colours, size scales, attributes, a small tag catalogue, and a handful of sample Styles, so you can explore the product with realistic records.

Result: the chosen dataset's master lists and sample Styles are seeded. Existing records are left untouched, and the load is safe to run more than once, or to run more than one dataset in succession.
