Reporting
Since Credit Only and Credit + Write Off Stock have an identical effect on stock and the G/L (see Known limitations), the only place the distinction between them shows up afterward is the Entry Type on the internal wash-line entry (see Key concepts and glossary). Use this when you need to answer "how much have we written off as damaged this quarter" separately from "how much have we credited for other reasons."
- Open Item Ledger Entries (search for it directly, or drill into an item's on-hand quantity from the Item Card).
- Filter Entry Type to
Negative Adjmt.to see write-offs from Credit + Write Off Stock, or toSaleto see everything else (including ordinary sales and Credit Only credit memos). - To isolate credit-memo-driven entries specifically rather than ordinary sales, also filter Document Type to
Credit Memo(orSales Credit Memoin the posted-document fields, depending on which page you're on). - The Source No. and Document No. fields on each entry tie back to the customer and the posted credit memo, if you need to trace a specific write-off back to its transaction.
This is standard Business Central filtering; Elevate Credit Memo doesn't add a dedicated report. If your organisation needs a recurring view of this (a saved filter, an Excel export, a Power BI report), build it once on Item Ledger Entries using the filter above and reuse it.
