Permissions

Two permission sets ship with this extension:

Permission set	Caption	Grants	Who should have it
CrMemo Use_ECR_EQL	Elevate Credit Memo - Use	Execute rights on the posting logic codeunit, so credit memos with Inventory Handling set can post.	Anyone who processes sales credit memos: accounts receivable, credit control, order processing staff.
CrMemo Setup_ECR_EQL	Elevate Credit Memo - Setup	Read and modify rights on the standard Sales & Receivables Setup table and page.	Business Central administrators only. This permission set grants edit rights to the whole Sales & Receivables Setup page, not just the four Elevate Credit Memo fields, since Business Central permissions cannot be scoped to individual fields within a shared setup table.

If you can see and set the Inventory Handling field on a credit memo line but cannot open or change the Sales & Receivables Setup fields in First-time setup, that is expected and by design. Ask whoever administers your Business Central environment to make the setup change, or to grant you the Setup permission set if you genuinely need it.

A user who posts credit memos needs CrMemo Use_ECR_EQL assigned before their first posting attempt; without it, posting a credit memo with a non-default Inventory Handling value fails with a permission error partway through. Include this permission set in standard onboarding for anyone in that role, alongside their usual Business Central access.
