Warehouse Shipment Labels

A warehouse manager needs to print shipping labels whenever a warehouse shipment is processed.

Steps

  1. Create a template with a code such as WHSE-SHIP-LBL, and set its source table to the warehouse shipment line.
  2. Add lines for the fields needed on the label, such as item number, description, quantity, and any custom fields.
  3. Set the output format to CSV and turn on Include CSV Header.
  4. Set the Document No. Filter Field to the shipment number field, so the label filters automatically to the current document.
  5. Add a delivery configuration pointing to an HTTP printer setup that sends output to the label printer's network endpoint.
  6. Add an auto-print rule with the posting event set to warehouse shipment, so labels generate automatically after posting.
  7. Certify the template.

Result

From then on, whenever a warehouse shipment is posted, the system generates the label output automatically and sends it to the configured printer. Users can also print manually from the Warehouse Shipment page using the Print Elevate Labels action.
